Today was Paul's Transplant Day. They refer to it as Paul's "Second Birthday" because it's the start of a renewed life. The stem cells that were previously collected and frozen were then thawed and given back to him today. This second birthday was a little different than the major U.S. blizzard when Paul was born some 67 years ago. They also call today "Day Zero." Every day after today counts upwards -- Day Plus One, then Day Plus Two, etc. It was a long day for both of us, and we treasure all of your support.
